Deep sink into guilty pleasure headbangers. Prontaxan, a multi-disciplinary music collective from Yogyakarta, is back with a new remix single this February.
This funkot (city funky) unit remixed and deconstructed one of the flagship singles of the psych/eclectic rock band from Bali, Rollfast, namely “Pajeromon”, which was taken from the Garatuba album released by LaMunai Records in 2020.
With a distinctive remix style, Prontaxan tampered with the song and extended the duration to about 6 minutes, mixing mixed sounds, dangdut, rock, and electronics into one fast-paced solid remix track with a fun vibe.
Talking about the diverse and changing beats and music styles in this remix track, Prontaxan said, “Pajeromon” is a harsh satire from Rollfast to respond to Ajik-Ajik’s habits. Finally, we represent the character through the beat and the changing colors of the music — change it in the remix song. Yes, it’s called Ajik-Ajik, in Java it’s ‘isuk dele sore tempe’, it’s up to him whether he wants to change it. Stubborn but inconsistent.
