There’s nothing new under the sun and so be it— Balenciaga drops its pre-distressed sneakers for $1,850. This pair of sneakers are actually a part of Balenciaga’s new Paris sneakers campaign. It’s the exaggerated version which presses over the worn-out look and extremely destroyed shoes.
Reportedly, this running campaign speaks for a life-time products which suggest that Balenciaga’s sneakers “are meant to be worn for a lifetime”. To clear up, this viral-dizzy campaign sells out the original Paris “fully destroyed” pairs for a staggering number of $1,850. Even though, the fact is, Balenciaga is selling a line of DIY-yellowed sneakers which go under $700. A high-top canvas look is set for $625 and $495 for the mule version.
This whole break-into-pieces crusade triggers a globe band of badmouthing over this fake campaign style. Knowing that the “Fully Destroyed” pieces are limited to only 100 pairs, the internet citizen is getting lashed out.
Well, for real, do you think this “lawnmower” style of shoes is on top of the edge?
