A fort of kindling feeling is re-touch the melodic pop punk by Cubfires as they released its latest single, “Iced Shaken Lemonache”. This Bandung-based, pop/punk emo quartet just made a back to back release after their previous single of “Deafening Nonsense”. The strum of enigmatic and old-school emo ensign “Iced Shaken Lemonache” down right at its pitch with the lyrical-wise and bag of mild melody.

As they have been standing the pack since 2017, Avinnala Yunus (guitar, vocal), Ayyub Satrio (guitar), Brian (bass, vocal) dan Panji (drum) reissued a patent which marks the mild and light emo sense. This single is not a far-fetched ensemble though the cloud of its interlude lead is variably flashy. It’s a heart-stirring melody following the blooming yet hollow letter.

Cubfires is like an initial letter of an ode of ballad emo which speaks for their other discography such as their top-list track, “Stay Too Long Where You Don’t Belong” in “Stay Gone” album (2018) and “Discography” (Remastered) album in 2022.
