Astera‘s latest song, “Don’t Cry,” is motivated by the wise words of Amit Ray, the Indian Author, about the courage to take steps and start. According to Rio Bagastian, the lead vocalist of Astera, the song narrates a tale of embracing small bravery to take a leap and pursue our dreams. It encourages us to leave behind the comfort zones we thought were secure but may not truly be, urging us to explore the world beyond our current boundaries.
The song was crafted at Uma Pohon studio, with the involvement of remarkable figures such as Dadang as the producer, Deny Surya handling mixing and mastering, and Kristian Dharma in sound engineering, also serving as co-producer. Having been active since 2014, the band feels immensely grateful and happy.
Regarding Astera’s specific approach, they expressed, “We needed to highlight the melodies in the songs to enhance the delivery of the lyrical message. This way, the musical development towards a more serene direction aims to accentuate the value of each song’s melody, without compromising the beats that invite the audience to dance.” Don’t Cry by Astera is available to stream across digital streaming platform from 21 July 2023.
