Casio Indonesia has officially announced a new collaboration model with the Indonesian streetwear fashion brand Paradise Youth Club (PYC). A limited edition G-SHOCK DW-6900PYU21 was launched in Indonesia as part of this collaboration.
The collection will come out to be the first model in the βSoutheast Asia Exclusiveβ (S.E.A. Exclusive). For your information, G-SHOCK DW-6900 was first launched in 1995. The watch also became the first G-SHOCK to feature an Electro-luminescent (E.L.) backlight.
That backlights have the advantage of displaying text or symbols and being a popular feature on watches. This model is also famous among fans as a βTriple Graphβ model and remains popular today.
The model chosen for this collaboration uses a futuristic approach with its silver band. The DW-6900 model itself has a personal touch for the PYC founder that gives memories of his first G-SHOCK.
This watch is inspired by the concept of βPower Sourceβ from the F/W Collection Paradise Youth Club. βPower Sourceβ means exploring digital networks that became a source of energy for human life from the beginning to the present.
As for the design part, this watch uses futuristic elements with silver bezels and bands. While the face of the watch is wrapped in a light green color.
Do not forget there is also a button that, when turned on, the clock displays the writing Power Source. Then on the back, there is the inscription βGuide to the Paradise Highwayβ on the graph.
Casio has not announced the price of the watch. But we got a date that will be available on paradiseyouthclub.com from 20th of February 2022 and at all G-SHOCK stores from 25th of February 2022.
