Two streetwear labels from Bandung, W.ESSENTIELS and Faith Industries (FTH), have staked out for a collaboration with one of the best-selling manga in 2021, Boku No Hero, better known as My Hero Academia by a renowned Japanese illustrator, Kohei Horikoshi. This superhero manga has been serialized since 2014 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine.
This capsule collection, which is included in the pre-S/S 22 of the two collaborators, remixes the streetwear aesthetics of W.ESSENTIELS and the vibrant anime culture that has been the reference for Faith Industries; presents a graphics-heavy lineup containing artwork for the protagonists in the My Hero Academia universe, namely Class 1-A.
Important characters such as Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki are featured in various graphics that appear in the main article of the collegiate varsity jacket with bold lettering and patch styles. Other articles consist of hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, and T-shirts with graphic details that can be considered solid. The collection is then completed with accessories from a tote bag with the My Hero Academia logo and slide sandals.
W.ESSENTIÉLS x FTH x ‘My Hero Academia’ pre-S/S 22 capsule collection will be released on January 28 through the Wormhole Store Brick and Mortar Store, webstore, and FTH official store.
