The pandemic isnβt over, but that doesnβt mean The Goods Dept has stopped innovating. Entering 2021, they will continue to collaborate with various parties to innovate, starting from carrying the work of Local Artists with the Macan Museum, launching the first official merchandise for Garuda Indonesia, and celebrating 50 years of Prambors radio launching a limited fashion collection. And closing the end of this year, they will dive deeper into the digital world by presenting The Goods Society.
The Goods Society is their first Non-Fungible Token (NFT) Collection with 1100 funny and special characters representing The Goods Dept customers. This NFT collection is built on the base of the Ethereum blockchain.
But uniquely, unlike the NFT collection in general, which focuses on character and make it into a virtual world, the owner of The Goods Societyβs assets will be able to feel the benefits of their assets in the real world as identification and receive a various benefit in the retail network of The Goods Dept.
They are starting to offer a free cup of coffee every Monday-Wednesday during 2022, up to 50% discount when shopping on birthdays, to premium services such as free shipping when shopping online on the goods dept website or a free line when entering The Goods Dept.

This implementation of NFT into the retail world is the first in Indonesia, and it will revolutionize many things. Another uniqueness of this NFT is that asset owners can change character attributes, where every character purchased during development can change the clothes or other accessories they wear.
To be able to achieve this, The Goods Dept team collaborated with two parties; the first is @biggiebieΒ as the illustrator who made the 1100 unique characters and also the team from @gaspackxyz, a startup that has launched several NFT projects previously and focused on developing the digital economy in the WEB 3.0 era. These three parties have high hopes for developing the NFT system to open up more digital innovation opportunities.
The Goods Society will be officially released to the public in minimal quantities starting Tuesday, December 28, 2021, throughΒ https://nft.thegoodsdept.com/Β and all features can be enjoyed starting in 2022.
