Porsche and Rimowa, two historic German companies, have unveiled a new hand-carry case inspired by their collaboration. Known for their relentless pursuit of perfection, the luggage brand has been at the forefront of design since 1898 and the automaker was founded in 1948.

Though the companies have always placed functional design, technical innovation, and high performance at the heart of their business, the teams have stayed true to their rich cultural heritage. Starting April 21st, the RIMOWA x Porsche Hand-Carry Case Pepita will be available for a recommended €2,250 EUR ($2,468 USD).

Paying homage to the most iconic design elements of both RIMOWA and Porsche, the special-edition RIMOWA x Porsche Hand-Carry Case Pepita celebrates each company’s German heritage. Designed in Cologne, Germany, each case reflects the luggage brand’s signature grooved aluminium while taking design cues from the Porsche 911.

The design team notes that the ultra-durable case can easily be stowed in the trunk of a Porsche car thanks to its functional, wheel-free design, which also includes TSA-approved locks and a gleaming aluminium handle.

This special collaboration is available in extremely limited quantities with only 911 numbered pieces produced, making it an ideal piece for collectors and design aficionados alike. The exclusive case will also be complemented by a RIMOWA x Porsche Pepita Sticker Set featuring a trio of retro stickers which will be sold separately.
