ruangrupa has all the outstanding-talent of local artist and performer flight over to Kassel, Germany for documenta fifteen.Β Attending one of the most prestigious exhibitions of contemporary art, ruangrupa is not only representing Indonesia but also in charge of leading a remarkable theme and program for this exhibition. Under the name of βlumbungβ program, this exhibition will be sticking around from 18 June until 25 September 2022.Β
It has been pointed out that our fellow-local artist under ruangrupa, stirred the wheel for the art direction and all the programs created in documenta fifteen. This well-driven βlumbungβ benchmark will call on a mass-group of creative folks from multiple disciplines. Driven by the ethos of βlumbungβ, ruang rupa puts the imagery to embody and preserve the sense of collectivity, equal and communal sharing of resources. Throughout this 5 years annual event, documenta fifteen and ruangrupa massively places 32 exhibition venues in conjunction with their program of artist workshop, listening session, readings and film screenings.Β
During 100 days of this art-way, some Indonesian beloved talent also made their appearance in the opening week of documenta fifteen. We surely spotted Nasida Ria and its authentic lovely qosidah music and Om Leo with his fan-cheering karaoke machine.
