Uniting differences into the one, Con Temporary and Wormhole assisted by Vans Indonesia compiled national artists in their work to carving out shoes for an exquisite exhibition called Salone del Sneakers. This site-specific exhibition showcases the work of 20 artists from Bandung, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta (Indonesia). There are five True White Vans sneaker models that each artist customizes: Era, Authentic, Old Skool, Slip-On, and Sk8-Hi.
Based on the diverse artistic techniques and approaches associated with these artists’ studio practices, the resulting sneakers utilize popular visual languages and materials found in everyday life.
The artists in this exhibition are: Amenkcoy, Ardi Gunawan, Argya Dhyaksa, Arum Dayu, Fandy Susanto, Feransis, Iabadou Piko, Iwan Effendi, Luqi Lukman, Mas Ito, Meliantha Muliawan, Mirfak Prabowo, PL, Rega Ayundya, Ruth Marbun, R. Yuki Agriardi, Salvius Alvin, Wisnu Auri, Ykha Amelz and Yudha Kusuma Putera.

Throughout this presentation, the audience will experience various outcomes, from traditional sneakers to sneakers that are either deconstructed or partially converted into sculptural objects or installations.
The sale for these customized sneakers will begin on 4 March 2022 through www.wormholestore.com, and 30% of all profit made from sales on this exhibition will go to children’s charities.
