Mandoors, a neo-psychedelic quartet from Semarang, has recently unveiled an animated music video for their latest single titled “Semestinya“. The music video plays a crucial role in the promotional campaign for Mandoors’ upcoming album, SONE. To achieve a unique and distinctive visualization, Mandoors collaborated with a local animator named Opthalmic Februtuhing.
In line with Mandoors’ psychedelic music style, this music video showcases three-dimensional animations with visually captivating and trippy sensations. Certain parts of the video also incorporate flashing images effects, creating a more intense impression.
Mandoors wanted to create a visually stunning experience, so they made sure the “Semestinya” music video matched the song’s lyrics. The lyrics portray someone feeling lost and trying to defy societal norms. The music video premiered on Mandoors’s YouTube channel on June 9, 2023. Mandoors has plans to release more music videos and go on a promotional tour soon to introduce their new album to the audience.
