Grrrl Gang, an electrifying trio hailing from Yogyakarta, has unveiled their highly anticipated debut album, the exuberantly titled “Spunky!“. In an enchanting alliance, Green Island Music joins forces with esteemed purveyors of sonic brilliance, including Kill Rock Stars (United States), Trapped Animal Records (United Kingdom and European Union), and Big Romantic Records (Japan and Taiwan), as exclusive license holders.
“Spunky!” was crafted following a series of significant life changes experienced by Angeeta Sentana (vocals, guitar), Akbar Rumandung (bass, vocals), and Edo Alventa (guitar, vocals), including their relocation from Yogyakarta, the city where they formed this band while still in college.
The music video for “Spunky!” premiered on Grrrl Gang’s YouTube channel on the same day as the song’s release. Grrrl Gang has announced the release schedule for their full debut album, “Spunky!”, slated for September 22, 2023. The album kicks off with its first single, released on May 30, 2023, which shares the same title as the album, ‘Spunky!’.
