The Caroline’s is a new indie-pop unit from Surabaya consisting of four members formed in mid-2021. Playing indie-pop music with jangly lead guitar and a touch of 80s power pop-style chords inspired by roster bands Sarah Records, an indie record label from Bristol (UK), and the heyday of NME’s C-86 compilation bands. They put it back together with The Caroline’s touch.
The EP ‘on my way to u’ from The Caroline’s (15/1) continues the previous single. The Caroline’s has released a single with the title ‘I adore u, regardless’ on digital as well as a physical, compact disc for a limited time. The release coincided with the SUBRECORD Fest event and their bassist exhibition with the same title as this EP.
The Caroline’s presents pop music without further ado, the EP ‘on my way to u’ contains four short, dense pop tracks. In this EP their total music total is no more than 7 minutes. This EP was recorded at MUS Studio by young musician “Thomas Glaop”. By recording process did not take long, starting around mid-September and successfully finished in November.
