Yes, you should be familiar with this photo, the iconic stance of Soekarno covering his ears. The back-note of this rogue pose digs into the truth of Soekarno’s refusal gesture.
The “not good look” stand for his dislike for an which performed by “Tri Greco” during his visit in Greece. The note surely rewrote all the mystery as it noted “President Ahmed Sukarno of Indonesia doesn’t seem to appreciate the music of the Trio Greco”. We aren’t really sure what was to his liking, but it was a memorable pose of our father of nation.
To be more specific, this photo was taken on 7 July 1965 and Jacob Cass surprisingly manages to have it by his own. It was an en-route trip by Soekarno after his visit to Paris. Then he stopped by in Athens, Greece whereas he called off for some Greek entertainment. The note stated that “That’s exactly what he got, though. the Trio Greco music wasn’t to his liking”.
