Trailer for Peele’s New Horror Film “Nope”

Put aside Peele's comedy persona, Nope is the horror ground.
Source: Universal Pictures

The first trailer for Nope, the latest horror film from director Jordan Peele, was officially released on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Although the trailer has been published, the film’s storyline remains shrouded in mystery. Nope will star Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, and Steven Yeun.

The film chronicles their experiences of witnessing an extraordinary and horrifying phenomenon in a deserted rural area of California. Towards the end of the trailer, Keke Palmer’s character, thought to be the great-grandson of the man featured in the moving image at the beginning of the film, is seen being thrown into space and making the film even more mysterious.

Jordan also signed Hoyte van Hoytema, a famous cinematographer who previously became a subscription to films by Christopher Nolan such as Dunkirk, Tenet, and Oppenheimer. Nope is set to be released on July 22, 2022.

Although just plunged into the world of film as a director, the name Jordan Peele immediately skyrocketed when the first film, Get Out, which premiered in 2017, received an unusually positive response. The film was directly awarded 4 nominations at the Oscars and 2 nominations at the Golden Globes.
