After a promising string of singles, a handful of acclaimed live shows “Sepenggal Sadar” at Jakarta, Dongker is a Bandung punk band comprising Delpi (Guitar, Vocal), Arno (Guitar,Vocal), Bilal (Bass), Dzikri (Drum). The 70’s punk band single “Tuhan di Reruntuhan Kota” became one of the most anticipated releases of 2023.
Come as a surprise, this single featuring an experimental musician Tomy Herseta and Friska from White Chorus as their backing vocals to complete the composition of the songs.
The newest single lyrics quite felt like everyone’s anxiety lately, no one figured that the most uncannily accurate doomsayer of the modern age was taking a sharp left to clown town with their latest single. They are battling the absurdity of existence which we can sing from their lyrics “Bersyukur ateis di kota yang bengis, Papan iklan menyilaukan, Hidup kian memilukan, Dituntut harapan” Dongker tries to tell the tug of war between the city and various religious issues.
Damn! it sounds like theyβre having fun β or, at least, as much fun as can be had in trading in this kind of anxiety. Still, after just a few listens that seemingly makes a lot more sense. starting from the quality of the sound and lyrics that are provided, also it’s the third single that they have been released for their upcoming album which really worth to wait.
