Whether it’s a deluge of banned bots or millions of entries to Travis Scott’s website raffles, the Cactus Jack entertainer’s Air Jordan collaborations are guaranteed to generate a lot of publicity. We now know that his most recent pair was one of the largest yet.
During Nike’s fiscal 2023 first-quarter earnings conference today, company president and CEO John Donahoe said that the July “Reverse Mocha” Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low set a record for the most member entries ever on Nike’s SNKRS app. Donahoe said that 3.8 million submissions were received for the shoes, which were launched on July 21 for $150. On resale markets, they presently fetch an average of roughly $1,200.
A source revealed to Complex in July that the aforementioned “Reverse Mocha” Jordan 1 Low launch on Scott’s website garnered 2.4 million submissions in a brief 30-minute stretch. Another million individuals entered the rapper’s Air Trainer 1 contest in May.
The Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low will be followed by a “Black/Phantom” colorway in December and an olive pair speculated for next spring.
